For the last few weeks my website has been offline, or showing default content, as I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do going forwards when I had to transfer all my content to the new dedicated server I am renting out. I wanted to take some time before spending the time getting the website back up as it was before if I was just going to create a new one using different software.

I have decided to keep going with WordPress, I wanted to try using other software for website development or even making my own but none of them did what I wanted, and coding my own was too much work for what I wanted to do at the moment.

I was unfortunately not able to restore the media or theme of the old website I was running on WordPress, the files got lost somewhere in the server transfer, so I have setup a modified temporary theme for now. I know it doesn’t look the prettiest but I will be making a custom theme later, I just didn’t have the time right now to do so as I wanted the website back up and running. I will be making modifications as I work on the new theme, like adding a dark mode but at the moment I don’t have the time to do that, and making corrections to style errors as they are found.

Going forwards I am going to be primarily focusing on WordPress development for website development. I will be making themes for my websites, and plugins for functionality I want in WordPress but either can’t find a plugin for, or plugins that do exist are beyond my price range. These will be hosted on my GitHub so if anyone else wants to use them they can, I personally don’t believe in hoarding or pay-walling knowledge.
