Mid October Updates

I have pushed a few updates to the website that I have been working on for the last couple of weeks. First I've cleaned up a large chunk of the back end code and restructured quite a bit of the code base. This does very little to show on the front end but it allows me and other developers to make updates for the software running the website easier in the future. I'll post an example of what we used to have to navigate through:

Old Style Folders:
  • Asreyion.Core -> Features -> Account -> Controllers -> ProfileController
  • Asreyion.Modules.Blog -> Features -> Blog -> Controllers -> PostsController
New Style Folders:
  • Asreyion.Core.Members -> Controllers -> ProfileController
  • Asreyion.Modules.Blog -> Controllers -> PostsController
It's mostly just streamlining where the code lives in the code base and makes it easier to access it, also if you notice on modules, the namespace ended up being Asreyion.Modules.Blog.Features.Blog.Controllers. I'm sorry past me, but what was that why did the blog code in its own code module project need to then nest things in Features/, Area/, etc. What were you thinking. Anyways speaking of streamlining I also snuck in an update to the css and html for blog posts specifically. Attachments now have a litebox for images and also are nice little thumbnails/cards so they don't take up the whole post. The first post I used them in "Blog Backend News" now looks a lot better when viewed. Oh and I also got actions setup on GitHub setup to help with deployment to the live server once I finish things now, so as soon as I merge the dev branches into the main branch features should go live instantly on the website here.

Edit: Oh right, I forgot to mention this when originally posting this. We have a member's list now under the Community tab up top. Doesn't do much yet but it exists. Thought I'd mention that.

Anyways that's it for now, I'll post more about my activities later. I'm also planning to start posting more than development updates and stuff but that's still a work in progress.
